Dalhousie is a charming hill station located in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, India. Nestled amidst the Dhauladhar mountain range, Dalhousie is known for its scenic landscapes, pleasant weather, and colonial architecture. The town was established during the British colonial era in the 19th century and is named after Lord Dalhousie, who was the British Viceroy of India at that time. The colonial influence is evident in the architecture of buildings and churches in the town.  A quiet and scenic place named after Subhash Chandra Bose, known for its peaceful ambiance. A scenic spot with a waterfall and a monument built in memory of the freedom fighter Sardar Ajit Singh. Often referred to as the "Mini Switzerland of India," Khajjiar is a breathtaking meadow with a lake and dense deodar forests. Known as the "Singing Hill," it offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. A beautiful church with stunning architecture, it is one of the oldest churches in the region. Known for its beautiful glasswork, this church is another example of colonial architecture. Khajjiar, located near Dalhousie, is often referred to as "Mini Switzerland" due to its lush green meadows and picturesque landscapes. The summer months (March to June) are pleasant with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C, making it an ideal time to visit. July to September experiences moderate to heavy rainfall, and trekking and outdoor activities might be limited during this time. Winter (November to February) brings snowfall, transforming the town into a winter wonderland, with temperatures sometimes dropping below freezing.
