Auroville Beach

Auroville Beach is one of the most sought after places in Pondicherry. It is stunningly nestled in the outskirts of the city. It is an exotic place to relax or to repose for all those who want to spend some days in this serene city. The beach is situated at a distance of around 12 km from the city of Pondicherry. Auroville Beach Pondicherry is visited by a large number of tourists every day. There are a lot of activities that you can indulge while spending time at the Auroville beach. You can either have a quiet time relaxing at the beach art, take a dip in the water of the beach or walk on the beach, also enjoy the sunbath alongside the beach. The beach is a part of the Auroville ashram which is at a distance of about 10 km. The Auroville Beach Pondicherry is situated on the right-hand side of the east coast road. The Auroville beach is managed by the ashram and has maintained a clean and hygienic surrounding all along the beach. There is no dearth of accommodations on the beach shore. It consists of several resorts which can be booked at reasonable rates. The Auroville has some of the most popular lighthouses which can be seen from the beach. There is a colony of fishermen on the shores of the Auroville Beach. The people of the colony earn their living from the beach and the resources that are available on the beach. You can visit the beach early in the morning to catch a glimpse of the sunrise in the evening when the temperatures are fairly cooler. During these times it is a perfect setting for the photography lovers as the light is apt to click some fantastic shots. Not many street sellers can be seen and neither there are beach shacks available, hence the Auroville Beach is the right location to spend some quality time and relax.
