Chintpurni Temple

​The Shri Maa Chintpurni Temple is a prominent Hindu temple dedicated to Mata Chintpurni Devi, one of the forms of Goddess Durga. It is located in the Una district of Himachal Pradesh, India. The temple is dedicated to Mata Chintpurni, who is believed to fulfill the wishes and desires of her devotees. "Chintpurni" means "the one who relieves worries," and the Goddess is worshipped to seek relief from mental stress and worries. Chintpurni is considered one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, which are sacred spots associated with the divine feminine energy. The origin of the temple is associated with the mythology of the goddess Sati. It is believed that the feet of Sati fell at the spot where the Chintpurni Temple is now located. The temple complex is characterized by its vibrant and traditional architecture. The main idol of Mata Chintpurni is present in the sanctum sanctorum, and the temple is adorned with intricate carvings and decorations. The major festival celebrated at Chintpurni Temple is Navaratri. During these nine days, the temple witnesses a significant influx of devotees who come to seek the blessings of Mata Chintpurni.
