About Khajjiar

Khajjiar is a picturesque hill station located in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, India. Often referred to as the "Mini Switzerland of India," Khajjiar is known for its lush green meadows, dense deodar forests, and stunning landscapes. Khajjiar is situated at an altitude of 1,920 meters (6,300 feet) above sea level, in the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas. It is approximately 24 kilometers from the town of Dalhousie. The town is famous for its picturesque Khajjiar Lake, which is surrounded by lush green meadows and dense forests. The lake is a popular spot for boating and picnics. The Khajji Nag Temple, dedicated to the serpent god Khajji Nag, is an ancient temple located near the lake. The temple is known for its wooden carvings and a sacred sanctum. Khajjiar earned the nickname "Mini Switzerland of India" because of its stunning landscapes that resemble the scenic beauty of Switzerland.
