These streams are the primary water source for Dalhousie and also feed into several natural reservoirs. The waterfall is especially mesmerizing during and just after the monsoon season, when the water flow is strong and the entire area comes alive with greenery and the sound of rushing water. Besides its natural beauty, Panchpula is historically significant. A monument dedicated to the freedom fighter Sardar Ajit Singh, who spent his last days here, stands near the waterfall and draws many visitors.
